Mirror Model

 

彫刻モデルであり写真家でもある私は、実際の彫刻作品の完成までの道のりを、モデル中の自身の身体と粘土で作られる作品とともに、セルフポートレートとして撮影を行った。この写真にはいくつかの視線が交錯し、見る・見られるということが入子構造のようになっている。すでに出来上がった女性像のブロンズたちの視線、彫刻家の視線、写真家の視線、モデルの視線、そして観衆の視線。それらを通して、描かれるモデルの自意識や、撮られるモデルの自意識を表現している。

 

As a sculpture model and photographer, I photographed the process of completing an actual sculpture as a self-portrait, along with my own body as a model and the work made from clay.In this photograph, several lines of sight intersect, creating a nested structure of looking and being seen. The gaze of the already completed bronze female statues, the gaze of the sculptor, the gaze of the photographer, the gaze of the model, and the gaze of the audience. Through these works, I expressed the self-consciousness of the model depicted and the self-consciousness of the model being photographed as a photographic work.
